Juliet Eardley

The focus of the work is representing the human form in fluid bold drawings; influenced by her travelling years.

In the Philippines, Juliet was inspired by local artists’ freedom of expression and multimedia approach.

In Hong Kong Juliet was captivated by the simplicity and purity of Chinese brush work.

These influences are also reflected in Juliet's abstract backgrounds to her figures. They represent landscapes of colour: perhaps in conflict, questioning or else cosseting feelings of passive and inner peace.

Juliet Eardley was born in Kolkata (Calcutta), India in 1967 and moved to the UK as a young child in 1982.
She left the UK for Los Angeles, USA, after completing her education which included O's, A's, Art Foundation Course and BA Hons Degree in Interior Design from De Monfort University.
Juliet freelanced in various design disciplines before founding MINX Graphic Design. She then pursued a Fine Art career.
In 1986 she arrived in The Philippines, lived on a tropical island and in Manila City.

From 1992 she has lived in Hong Kong, pursuing a Fine Art and Interior Design career which she continued in London.
